Stretches for Calves I Calves Workout

During rainy season it's very common that people get cramps in calves.

So it's important to start your sport or workout after finishing some basic stretching which can help you getting cramps or muscle tear. How do you treat a calf muscle injury?

  1. Rest your injured leg. ...

  2. Put ice or a cold pack on the sore muscle for 10 to 20 minutes at a time to stop swelling. ...

  3. After 2 or 3 days, you can try alternating cold with heat. ...

  4. Wrap your lower leg with an elastic bandage (such as an Ace wrap) to help decrease swelling.

Overuse – sudden start/increase in activity or change in activity. Underuse – not moving enough. Muscle wasting (atrophy) – see underuse but also common in older age. Muscle tears – these would also be acutely painful as well as tight Tight calf muscles limit the range of motion in your ankles, which causes some people to walk more on the balls of their feet.
